Lifestyle sessions. Something I absolutely LOVE and have a huge passion for! The Wendlings have a stunning home! I pulled up to an immaculate yard and was greeted at the door by a blond-haired, blue eyed fearless toddler. A + M quickly invited me in and instantly made me feel so welcomed. I typically take a quick walk thru to check out which rooms have the best light and then kind of let the family do their thing for a little bit. We played games on the couch, tickled, did piggy back rides and my favorite part of all: reading books together. Check out their adorable pictures!
Maternity sessions are so special to me. You would think as a photographer I would have had maternity photos done, but that is probably my biggest regret. What I would give to go back!? Pregnancy is such a short time in a woman’s life and being able to have photos of that time, is priceless. I LOVE doing maternity sessions in the mustard fields. The day was overcast and wet, but we were able to work quickly and get in some beautiful shots before the rain came on. Tina was just glowing in her pale pink, empire waste dress. I love her color choices for the family. Soft colors always photograph… Keep Reading
My absolute favorite time of year to be out in the field (pun intended:)) working is SPRING! The days are getting warmer, the sun begins to set later, and the grass is green and lush. Mustard fields begin blooming in late February and really make for the perfect location for any type of session. Shannon’s husband couldn’t make it to our session and she suggested just doing a mommy + me type with her and her daughter. I could not WAIT for this opportunity! They were naturals in front of the camera which made my job so easy. And Avery was quite possibly the easiest baby (and cutest), that I… Keep Reading
Megan and I are friends from High School and I was so thrilled when she reached out to have family photos done. I hadn’t seen her in probably 10 years so it was really fun to catch up and meet her beautiful family! She recommend this gorgeous open space in Dublin, CA that overlooks the whole city! The view was breathtaking! We seriously had the best time. I have to say that they are just naturals in front of the camera. Nat had us all cracking up with his jokes which kept the session light-hearted and fun. Megan is a local blogger and also has the most gorgeous hair! Serious, hair envy… Keep Reading
There is something so relaxing about going to a clients home to do a session. I love how families fall into their natural routines and almost forget that I am there! My friend reached out wanting some pictures of her daughter for her 1st birthday and since it was cold and foggy out, we decided to have a photoshoot-playdate! SO FUN! Lennon looked so adorable wearing her moms vintage dress from childhood. I followed her around while she explored her house and as it warmed up, we ventured outside to check out the fall leaves. I love how sweet her pictures turned out!
Ok, I have literally been just dying to share this SO CUTE family session with you! If you are like me, someone who loves to read blogs, then you will absolutely LOVE Katie’s blog. Katie from KatieDidWhat, is a local blogger based out of Sacramento, CA and blogs about life, fashion, being a mom and many other things. I have really enjoyed getting lots of great fashion styling tips from her so you all need to go check out her blog! And honestly, she is so incredibly sweet and down to earth. Not to mention, she has the most adorable, little family. I felt like we just instantly connected and had… Keep Reading
I absolutely adore this family! I met Shannon back when I was portfolio building and we did some mommy and me photos of her and her daughter. It has been so much fun to watch her little girl grow up and I consider it such a treat to be able to capture moments in time that they will treasure for a lifetime. We found a cute, quiet park in Pleasant Hill, CA with lots of fall colored trees and a large open area with grass. It was so beautiful.
All the heart eyes for this adorable family! I love that my job allows me to meet new people and be apart of photos they will treasure for a lifetime. While I certainly love posed-all-eyes-looking-at-me type photos, I just adore candids even more. This family session was so much fun for me! Two busy, twin toddlers that gave me a good work out! Lots of running, hiding, laughing and being silly. So FUN! We found a cute, quaint park in Pleasant Hill, CA that catered to their wishes of fall foliage. Check out how beautiful their photos turned out!
I may be a little bit biased because they’re family, but seriously they belong in a magazine! My sister-in-law reached out to me earlier this summer suggesting I come visit them in Scottsdale and also take some family photos for them. I didn’t hesitate for a second! We used white linens and took them in their living room where the light was bright. Hart was being a little turkey so in order for him to cooperate we played lots of games, jumped around and did lots of tickling. We had SO much fun! Check out how gorgeous their photos turned out!
I LOVE maternity sessions! Can I say it again!? Seriously though, I have such a strong passion for maternity photography. There is something so special about being able to share in the excitement of a new baby with a family. Lindsey is so beautiful and pregnancy really looks good on her! Her family was such a joy to be with, especially her two darling little boys. They will be welcoming a new baby sister any day now. These are some of my favorites from our session!
